Dermatology - Rash

I am a "born-in-the-USA" White American. As a student of Mandarin I have many friends who are Chinese.

A few years ago I came down with some skin rash which soon spread all over my body. I went to a dermatologist who could not identify it and put me on antibiotics and some topical creams. The condition did not improve and the dermatologist sent me to see a "specialist". He did many tests, including scrapings, immuno-fluorescence, and biopsy but he too had no answers, nor cures, for me. I suffered with this condition for more than 3 months, and spent more than $3000 on "specialists", but to no avail.

Then one of my Chinese friends suggested a visit to a Chinese Doctor. Well, I was in desperation so I decided to give it a try. The Chinese Doctor felt my pulse, looked at the lesions and prescribed some concoction which he then himself made. I had to cook the stuff at home myself, and drink it twice a day. It smelled and tasted awful and my whole family thought I was insane to do it. But I did and 4 days into the treatment all the lesions were gone and no new ones ever came up. I was cured.

The Chinese Doctor charged me $38 for the visit AND the medication!

Now I am undergoing Acupuncture and Herbal Therapy for several problems I have, including pain and paralysis in the legs which Western Doctors have told me is incurable. I have been in treatment for 4 weeks now and some feeling has returned to my legs (which were previously numb). Everyone who knows I am doing this, INCLUDING my western Doctor are all fascinated that it works.
